Dandenong's Ash Cannan has spent another week at the Rangers' helm, ensuring a win over the Hawks that saw the boys finish in top spot at season's end, and awarding Cannan his first Player of the Week award for 2007.

Cannan has continued to be a tough force for Dandenong, putting in week after week of strong performances that saw him as the game's leading scorer this week with 28 points and the leading rebounder for Dandenong, with 11 boards in their 21-point win over Ringwood.

Cannan shot at 63% from the field and 80% from the free throw line. Teamed with three assists and three steals, Cannan was all over the court for the Rangers, proving just how tough he will be next week against the Sabres in week one of the finals.

Other contenders this weekend included:
- Sandringham's Adam Quick held MVP honours in the Sabres' win over Warrnambool, with 35 points.
- Lester Strong was back with another great game, with yet another double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds in the Seahawks' loss to Sandringham.
- Joel Seach was once again the front runner for the Hawks with a massive 25 points and 16 rebounds in their loss to Dandenong.
- Pierre Jallow was once again the driving force behind the Broncos' win over the Wildcats, with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
- The Tigers' dynamic duo of Matt O'Hea and Sedale Threatt once again delivered, with an MVP performance from O'Hea that saw him with 23 points and Threatt with 22.
- Andrew Walter put in two MVP performances with 32 points and six assists in their win over Hume City and 21 points against Werribee, proving he will be tough when they take on Melbourne next week.

BIGV WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: TESS FEERY - Waverley Falcons

The Waverley Falcons put in a performance to remember this week, with not one but two triple-doubles that have awarded Tess Feery her second Player of the Week honour for the year.

The Falcons had a massive 65-point win over Coburg with Feery taking out MVP honours, leading the game in points, rebounds and steals. Her triple-double consisted of 24 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals in her 28 minutes of court time.

Feery shot at 62 % from the field, 50% from the three-point line and 75% from the free throw line, proving her on court dominance whilst playing just over half of the game.

Waverley face a tough game this week against Melbourne in the first week of semi finals, and another performance such as this from Feery will no doubt help the girls have a competitive finals series.

Other contenders this weekend included:

- The Falcons' Julie De Groot also scored a triple double, with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in Waverley's demolition of Coburg.
- The Rangers' Melissa Colcott came back from injury this week to score a season-high 32 points up against Melbourne, and 16 points in their loss to Sandringham.
- Tegan Fowler was once again the star performer for the Sabres with 32 points against Geelong, and 26 points and 14 boards up against Geelong.
- Ebony Just had 30 points in the Tigers' win over the Giants.
