The 26-year-old nailed two free throws with three seconds remaining in regulation time to ensure the game went into an extra period, but the Mystics narrowly edged out the Storm to claim the victory.

Jackson hit 18-of-28 from the field and also contributed 14 rebounds, while her former team-mate at the Canberra Capitals Alana Beard led the Mystics with 27 points.

Despite Jackson's heroics the Storm are in danger of missing out on the WNBA playoffs.

Currently sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 12-12 win-loss record, the Storm are narrowly holding on to the eighth and final playoff spot.
