To be eligible for any league award, a player must have played in at least 50% of their club's regular season games. The candidate list is drawn from the top-10 vote getters throughout the regular season in each category, excepting All Star Five centre, where five candidates are used.

Eventual winners are decided by a separate poll of club coaches and captains.
