Mike Redd starred for the Bucks with 39 points, 20 in the third quarter alone, and six rebounds, with Maurice Williams (12pts) and Charlie Bell (11) contributing well off the bench as the team fought back from a six-point half-time deficit.

Jermaine O'Neal top-scored for the Pacers with 27 points, while Jamaal Tinsley netted 15 and Fred Jones contributed 14.

Indiana had more success from the field as they shot at 50 percent to the Bucks' 42, but the home side was stronger from long-range, successful on 44 percent of their attempts compared to a lacklustre 26 percent from the Pacers.

But it was the turnover, or lack of, that won the game for Milwaukee. The team set an NBA record for the fewest turnovers in a game, conceding just two to the the Pacers' 15.

Meanwhile, the LeBron James has netted a 47-point haul as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Miami Heat 106-99 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

The amazing performance from James was needed to counter an equally impressive 44-point game from Miami's Dwayne Wade.

Cavaliers coach Mike Brown was happy with the win, but said it was a joy to watch two greats of the game in action.

"Wow, you call that an instant classic," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said. "It's two great players taking over the game for both teams. What a show. I'm happy we won, but I enjoyed watching two great players go back and forth," he told NBA.com.

Kirk Hinrich stepped up for the Chicago in the second half of their clash with the Boston Celtics, scoring 23 of his 25 points to help the Bulls to a 100-94 victory.

The Bulls were down by as many as 11 points in the third quarter before Hinrich took charge to mount the recovery, with some helpful performances from Luol Deng, Mike Sweetney and Ben Gordon who all added 14 points for the game.

In San Antonio, Tony Parker has scored 28 points, dished out six assists and grabbed six boards in a strong all-round performance as the Spurs beat the Washington Wizards 106-99, while the Utah Jazz defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 102-89.
