Dragons Elite Shooting Camps

Olympian Michele Timms and South Dragons star Matt Shanahan will conduct a series of camps in June for aspiring young basketballers.
For players of a representative level, there will be two elite shooting camps with individual attention aimed at perfecting your shooting technique.
What: South Dragons Elite Shooting Camp
Where: Bulleen Basketball Stadium, Sheahan’s Rd Bulleen (Melways Ref 32 G5)
When: 21st June, 2006. U12 Girls and Boys 9:00am-12:00pm, U14 Girls and Boys 1:00pm-4:00pm

What: South Dragons Elite Shooting Camp
Where: Waverley Basketball Stadium, Cnr Power Ave and Batesford Rd, Chadstone. (Melways Ref 69 H1)
When: 30th June, U12 Girls and Boys 9:00am-12:00pm
U14 Girls and Boys 1:00pm-4:00pm

Sharp shooter Matt Shanahan, who led the NBL in three-point percentage in ’99, will personally tutor at the elite camps to be held at Bulleen and Waverley.
“I remember playing at Nunawading as a junior, it was always great when the NBL guys would come down to teach us the game,” Shanahan added.
“These camps will be about teaching juniors who want to take their game to the next level.
"Making sure you have good technique at a young age is crucial if you want to be a great shooter."
The camps will be the first to be conducted by the NBL’s hottest new team, the South Dragons, who will play their first home game on October 14 at Vodafone Arena.
