Last year's top draft pick averaged 9.4 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Milwaukee Bucks in his rookie season, playing all 82 games.

But his brilliant first year ended in a 1-4 playoff series loss to the Detroit Pistons.

Bogut received 26 of a possible 29 votes for the rookie team, while New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul, who is favourite to win the Rookie of the Year honours, received absolute support from the 30 NBA coaches and was voted unanimously onto the team.

Paul averaged 16.1 points and 7.8 assists in 81 games for the Hornets, but missed out on the playoffs.

Toronto forward Charlie Villanueva received the second greatest number of votes, 27, after averaging 13 points and 6.4 rebounds in 78 games for the Toronto Raptors.

Utah guard Deron Williams and New York Knicks forward Channing Frye completed the team.
