The South Dragons have thrown their support behind the RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk, with player Matt Shanahan involved today in a photo shoot to publicise the event to be held May 21st at Albert Park.

The Million Paws Walk, inaugurated in Queensland in 1994 is about providing a fun day out for pets and their owners, while promoting responsible pet ownership and raising much needed funds for the RSPCA.

Shanahan, pictured above alongside Australian runner Tamsyn Lewis and her partner Graham, believes the Million Paws Walk is a great opportunity for the Dragons to be involved in a fantastic cause.

“The RSCPA do a great job across all their programs and the walk is a great showcase for their work,” said Shanahan.

“I was more than happy to come down this morning for the photo shoot for the newspapers,” added Shanahan.

Dragons basketball development officer Michele Timms has been invited to participate in the celebrity challenge on May 21st, where celebrities will guide there dogs through an obstacle course.
