Andrew Bogut - NBA Rookie
Third best for Bogut
11/05/2006
Australian Andrew Bogut has been voted the third best rookie in the NBA this season.

Bogut, a number one pick in last year's draft, Bogut came third in media voting with 98, well behind New Orleans-Oklahoma City Hornets guard Chris Paul, who won with 623, and Toronto Raptor Charlie Villaneuva on 248.

Paul averaged 16.1 points, 7.8 assists and 2.24 steals a game for the franchise which was forced to move most of its home games away from its hurricane-ravaged city to Oklahoma's capital.

While not enough to secure a playoff berth, the Hornets won 20 more games this season for a 38-44 win-loss record.

In the most one-sided ballot since David Robinson's unanimous 1990 win, Paul was an emphatic winner after being awarded 124 of 125 first-place votes from a panel of NBA reporters.
