Sunbury (4-4) vs Keilor (6-1)
The Jets have the most testing of weekends ahead with games against both of the competitions top two sides. The first though is a local derby of sorts, with Sunbury fronting the Thunder at home.

In recent weeks Sunbury have been without Adrian Mychal and simply, his availability will have a big bearing on this. In the Jets line-up probably only he can handle the rapidly improving Tim Lang who has been such a key part of the Thunder's success in 2006. The Thunder have other talls, and plenty of scoring option, but their other ace is Peter Sheridan, who has been in marvellous form this year. Sunbury have won three in a row - a fourth would be huge for them, and monumental for the competition.

Coburg (0-6) vs Bulleen (5-2)
Saturday 6:30pm at Coburg
Bulleen delivered two huge wins last weekend and on that sort of form, its difficult to see how the struggling Giants will make an impact here. If Bulleen play to form this could be a big win.

Southern Peninsula (4-5) vs Hawthorn (7-1)
Saturday 7:30pm at Hillview
Just in the eight, the Sharks have the guns to take out the Magic but at this point, might struggle inside. Still a week short of the return of Rohan Greaves, the time might be perfect for Hawthorn to continue their run.

Sherbrooke (5-3) vs Shepparton (2-6)
Saturday 7:45pm at Monbulk
Shepparton might have delivered their first home win last weekend in knocking off Melbourne University, but they'll have their hands full here against Sherbrooke side expected to include David Naylor for the first time in 2006.

Blackburn (2-4) vs Chelsea (4-4)
Saturday 8:00pm at Veneto
We think the Vikings are a better side than their 2-4 record suggests, and certainly they have been competitive in almost every game. They will struggle with Chelsea's backcourt speed, but defensively have the skills to get this done overall.

Melbourne University (2-5) vs Whittlesea (2-4)
Saturday 8:30pm at Melbourne University
The Pacers need to get back on track with four successive losses but that depends probably on the availability of Andy Urbanic, who appears to be their answer to the outstanding Andrew Olechnowicz.

Altona (5-3) vs Shepparton (2-6)
Sunday 1:00pm at Altona
The Gators were shocked by a committed Bulleen last weekend and another loss would be damaging to their top four hopes. Shepparton at full strength match-up ok here - and could spring the upset.

Hawthorn (7-1) vs Sunbury (4-4)
Sunday 2:00pm at Xavier
Part 2 of Sunbury's tough weekend and fortunately for them their opponent here will have had a tough night out as well. Hawthorn can make a big statement with two wins for the weekend.

Keilor (6-1) vs Chelsea (4-4)
Sunday 3:00pm at Keilor
One of the divisions favourite rivalries returns. Chelsea have not been too successful over the years against Keilor and on current form that trend could continue.

Game of the Week
Warrnambool (8-0) vs Shepparton (5-2)
Saturday 6:00pm at Warrnambool
In recent seasons this has been the league's biggest rivalry and even with Warrnambool's to date dominant form, nothing will be different here as the Gators take their first trip to the states southern basketball capital for the year.

On paper, Warrnambool just look to have too many guns. The side is averaging an awesome 82 points per game, a number some men's teams would be happy with in the 48 minute game. Shepparton by comparison are currently just over 50ppg. It is a huge differential to overcome and even with Shadbolt and Warton at their best, Gators Coach Jodie Danaher will know she has her hands full.

Sunbury (3-4) vs LTU (1-5)
Saturday 6:00pm at Sunbury
The Jets recent impressive form will see them start favourites against an LTU side that took a real hammering last week at the hands of Warrnambool. LTU getting the job done on the glass, but struggling with turnovers.

Blackburn (5-1) vs Diamond Valley
Saturday 6:00pm at Veneto
These sides have already met at Veneto this year with Blackburn winning and since then the Vikings have really gone on with the job. There was not much between them last time and it should be the same here.

Melbourne University (2-5) vs Whittlesea (1-7)
Saturday 6:30pm at Melbourne Uni
Despite the addition of Gabby Hogan the Black Angels still lost both their games last weekend. They'll be looking for their first home win of the season here.

Whittlesea (1-7) vs Werribee (4-4)
Sunday 3:00pm at Mill Park
Werribee added former standout Lou Johnson this week, back from a year at US College and from lining up with the Melbourne Tigers last season. Johnson gives them real height and a familiar face and should provide some impetus here as well.
