South Dragons inaugural signing Joe Ingles played in three SEABL games for the AIS, starting Friday night with 10 points and six rebounds in a one-point win over Mt Gambier.

Saturday night Ingles finished with 10 points, three steals and two rebounds in a three-point win over the Kilsyth Cobras.

Dragons two guard Matt Shanahan was a standout for the Cobras with 20 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Playing just over 47 minutes, Shanahan hit four from nine from range, blocked one shot and finished with two steals.

On Sunday, and playing in the last game of the AIS SEABL triple-header, Joe Ingles had seven points, six rebounds and two assists in a 15-point loss to Knox.

Up North, a 27-10 final quarter was enough to see the Southern District Spartans fall behind the Brisbane Capitals 93-90 on Saturday.

Dragons swingman Frank Drmic had 17 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Spartans who now sit second in the QABL standings with four wins from five matches.
