Shawn Marion was the star for the Suns, as he racked up 10 of his 32 points in the tight final period to get his side over the line 94-91.

League MVP Steve Nash made a clutch jumper in the closing seconds for the second-seeded Suns, as Phoenix withstood two comeback efforts in the final stanza by the sixth-seeded Clippers.

Phoenix trailed 82-85 before Marion nailed a three to tie up the game with three minutes left, and after two free throws apiece by Nash and Tim Thomas built the lead to 89-86, Marion then made a three-point play to put his team up six with 49 seconds remaining.

Thomas had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Suns, while Raja Bell scored 14 points and Nash added 12 and 10 assists.

Elton Brand had 20 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Clippers.

In New Jersey, The Miami Heat reclaimed home-court advantage in their series against the Nets with a 103-92 triumph.

Dwyane Wade scored 30 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed seven rebounds for the second-seeded Heat, who overcame a 43-point outburst by Nets All-Star Vince Carter.

Heat coach Pat Riley praised Wade after the game: "When (Wade) gets the ball in the high post and you open up the floor, he sees everybody and knows what they are doing," Riley told NBA.com.

"And he still has the uncanny ability to find the seam or a gap. He makes it look really easy."

Wade was well-backed by Shaquille O'Neal (19 points, nine rebounds) and Antoine Walker (16 points).

Richard Jefferson scored 17 points and Jason Kidd added 10 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds for the Nets, who now trail the series 1-2.
