Possible future stars of the National Basketball League have been named to represent Australia at the U19 mens World Championships in July. The squad includes four Victorians - Ben Lewis, Jadranko Jusufagic, Zac Natoli and Kevin Probert.

Head Coach of the Australian Young Men’s Basketball Team (the Emus), Marty Clarke, has revealed the squad that will defend Australia’s World Championship title, with 19 potential future NBL stars named in the team.

The Emus, who finished ninth at the Albert Schweitzer Tournament last month are currently preparing for their first stepping stone to the Worlds - the Oceania Qualifying series to be held in Nowra, NSW in August.

As part of their preparation they will be competing in the William Jones Cup in Taiwan from July 5–17. The William Jones Cup will give the Emus a clearer understanding of what is expected from their performance on the world stage before taking on the Kiwis for the Oceania Championship.
