Bendigo (6-4) vs Dandenong (9-3)

Having taken last weekend off with a bye, and with two huge games this round, this could well be a make or break weekend for the Braves, who still hold the strange record of having not yet won away, but also having not yet conceded at home. Extending this forward would see Bendigo drop out of the finals. It's hard to see any side making finals with a 10-10 record, although it is possible.

This one is at home, and it's against a suddenly more vulnerable Dandenong side. The Rangers took a big hit last round against Knox, after smacking the Sabres on Saturday. They will need to bring Saturday's form here, or the young Braves could blow them away.

Knox (7-4) vs Bendigo (6-4)
Saturday 8:00pm at Knox
Five rounds ago the Braves took a 13 point result against the Raiders but as we stated above, that was at home. Knox will want to return the favour, as top spot is looming if the Rangers stumble again.

Nunawading (6-5) vs Werribee (1-9)
Saturday 8:00pm at Nunawading
The Spectres go Kilsyth last round while Werribee once again looked ordinary confronting Ballarat. They should expect more of the same here with the Spectres clinging to fifth position.

Eltham (7-6) vs Kilsyth (4-7)
Saturday 12:15pm at Eltham
The Wildcats charge is on with four successive wins under their belt. Kilsyth, even from tenth, can mathematically still make the finals but wins in games like this are essential.

Ballarat (5-7) vs Frankston (5-6)
Sunday 2:00pm at Ballarat
The Blues across the season have a 1 point for and away differential, showing just how close they have been. They need to convert competitiveness into wins and get on a run - starting here.

Sandringham (5-7) vs Knox (7-4)
Sunday 2:00pm at Sandringham
It got ugly for the Sabres last weekend, with two losses doing them enormous damage. It doesn't look like it gets much better here, even if Knox have played the night before.

Diamond Valley (8-5) vs Werribee (1-9)
Sunday 3:00pm at Diamond Valley
The Eagles have been out of the spotlight in recent weeks but have still been taking care of business pretty efficiently. Another win here sets them up nicely coming into the season break.

Youth League Women

Game of the Week
Dandenong (12-0) vs Kilsyth (6-3)
Saturday 6:00pm at Dandenong
Kilsyth had a terrific result in last weeks game of the week upsetting the defending champions and it moved them into third place on the YLW ladder, equal on losses but a couple of wins behind Eltham. Once again it underlined just how much the Cobras have done since last season to become competitive, and stands them in very good stead here.

This game just provides another great test for them. Dandenong are 12-0 for a reason, and have already handed Kilsyth a big loss this year. The chances of them losing the minor premiership from here, when they have just eight games remaining, are slim. But you have to think they must at least take a couple of hits on the way home and Kilsyth seem as credentialed as anyone to provide that.

Knox (8-4) vs Coburg (0-11)

The Giants have tried 20 different players this year in an attempt to break the drought, and to date it has not brought them success. They have made no changes this week and the result, against a resurgent Knox, is likely to be the same.

Hume City (8-4) vs Waverley (2-9)
Saturday 7:00pm at Broadmeadows
The Bronco's dropped out of the five for the first time this year last round after losing to the Raiders - they can make some ground up this weekend but they face an improving Waverley here.

Ballarat (5-6) vs Frankston (2-9)
Sunday 12:00pm at Ballarat
The Nuggets girls look too good on paper here for a Blues side that has been consistently competitive, but has not been able to convert that into wins.

Sandringham (2-10) vs Knox (8-4)
Sunday 12:00pm at Sandringham
The Sabres might have broken the duck last round with two wins but the likelihood of that steak extending to three is very slim - Knox look too settled and have too much to lose to drop this.

Bulleen (6-6) vs Waverley (2-9)
Sunday 1:00pm at Templestowe
Bulleen were another club to topple Nunawading last round and that win lifted the Boomers back to a 50% record. This game should only advance that further into positive territory, provided Bulleen play to their strengths.

Coburg (0-11) vs Hume City (8-4)
Sunday 2:00pm at Darebin
Hume really are set up for a boost this weekend. Both games, and especially this one, are winnable for the Bronco's and with Nunawading not playing this round they should find themselves back in the five at the close.

Youth League 2 Men

Game of the Week
Ringwood (6-5) vs Whittlesea (3-6)
Sunday 12:00pm at Maroondah
While last weeks round saw a number of top teams face off this round has a very different outlook, with a number of top sides playing teams well down the ladder. Hume City showed against Sherbrooke though that the lower ranked sides are well and truly capable of pushing the top sides on their day.

Whether Whittlesea can do that here is a big ask. They are struggling with a four game losing streak and Ringwood are powering. The return of Adam Tanner last week was a huge boost and he can wreak havoc on any side, never mind a relatively undersized Pacers outfit.

Coburg (6-5) vs Hume City (2-8)
Saturday 6:00pm at Coburg
Hume City would probably only need to reproduce last weeks form to take this out, with Coburg starting to slide. Having said that Coburg have been impressive at home so far this year and will want to preserve a strong record there.

Waverley (4-6) vs Sherbrooke (9-1)
Saturday 6:00pm at Waverley
The Falcons have been sitting in sixth for three rounds now. If they are serious about finals - its time to take another step. A win here would be a major upset, the Suns looking the goods.

Whittlesea (3-6) vs Melbourne (7-3)
Saturday 6:30pm at Mill Park
It's not often you get to face two sides in the top four in the one weekend but it falls to the Pacers. Even worse here, they get Melbourne after a loss.

Hume City (2-8) vs Bulleen (2-7)
Sunday 12:00pm at Hume City
The Bronco's are yet to record a win at home this season, but with Goldsworthy and McCallum in great touch, appear poised to break that in this game.

Coburg (6-5) vs Geelong (9-1)
Sunday 12:00pm at Darebin
The Giants get to try out both their home courts this weekend and this game on paper is much the tougher. The Cats are sitting equal with Sherbrooke and look too strong on paper for Coburg.

Latrobe City (2-8) vs Waverley (4-6)
Sunday 2:00pm at Traralgon
Our only tip for this game is that it is a tough ask for Waverley backing up here after playing home to Sherbrooke. The Energy need to take full advantage, get on a run early and drive this home.
