Suchanek pled guilty to a charge of striking and not guilty to unsportsmanlike behaviour and bringing basketball into disrepute.

The charges came out of a physical YL2 clash between the Cats and Ringwood Hawks at Maroondah on May 27.

Suchanek was disqualified from the game and later charged after an incident early in the second quarter involving Ringwood's Michael Stellar.

The tribunal heard evidence from the referees and coaching staff that the game was a physical one, and that the two players involved had been defending each other consistently through the early stages of the game.

The evidence provided by Suchanek, Stelar and the referees was supplemented by video evidence of the game presented by the league.

Suchanek will be free to resume Big V commitments in Round 13, against Sherbrooke.
