After five successive losses, this weekend is not the time Thunder coach would like to play ladder leaders Ballarat. The Miners have recorded eleven straight victories and the inform team of the competition. Miners Braith Cox is having another stellar season, and his match-up in the back court with Thunder Ben Armstrong will be a high quality duel, and likely to impact on the games final outcome.

Albury/Wodonga "Bendigo Bank" Bandits vs Frankston "Cambur" Blues
Frankston Blues David Gruber destroyed the Bandits once again to help his team record the victory last weekend. David has enjoyed much success against Albury/Wodonga, and his efforts will need to be contained by the Bandits if they wish to record the win. Albury/Wodonga dropped out of the conference top as a result of their lose last weekend, but will be hoping the home court advantage will give them the edge this week.

Nunawading Spectres vs Bendigo "Hume & Iser" Braves
Both teams are on losing streaks at the moment, making this game all the more important. Braves import Denver Tenbroek scoring has been down, but look for him to reverse his current poor shooting form with a solid game at Nunawading. With many Bendigo junior teams playing at the Nunawading Junior Tournamant this weekend, the stadium will be packed with many regular faces which could help the Braves record the win and stop their current losing streak.

Australian Institute of Sport vs "St Laurence" Geelong Supercats
Having moved into the East Men top four with a sensational 2-0 record in Tasmania, AIS coach Marty Clarke will be keen to make a statement this weekend and score a victory over ladder leaders Geelong. AIS leading scorer Stephen Weigh did not travel last week to Tasmania, but the AIS had a variety of players step up and produce at the offensive end. If Dowdell, Ogilvy and Demos can continue their recent good form, look for the AIS to continue their mini winning streak.
