Under the tutelage of Boomers Assistant Rob Beveridge, squad members worked through a light session that focused on offensive strategy.

“The session was mostly about introducing guys like David Anderson and Damian Ryan to the way the Boomers play,” said Ninnis.

“They scrimmaged lightly, and all looked to be in good shape ahead of the upcoming World Champs camp.”

Ninnis said Dragons guard Jacob Holmes was a standout, adding his play in the Adelaide State League has kept him in good form.

“Jacob’s dominated that league for the past few years but this season he looks to have stepped up another notch,” explained Ninnis.

“His overall court sense has improved, and I’d expect him to be a strong chance for the World Championships Boomers team.”
