Celebrating the four original members of the 1997 Mercury Team, Timms flew from Melbourne last week to partake in the on-court celebrations yesterday.

“It’s fantastic to be honored and I’m really excited about it,” said Timmsy.

“We’re getting the old crew back together.”

After watching the Mercury notch their first win of the season, Timms got up on the scorers table and waved the Mercury flag around and cheered the crowd on.

Preceding the celebrations, a highlight reel of the greatest plays from the Mercury’s early years was played on the big screen, with the Mercury legends honoured with massive banners unveiled from the rafters.
