Hollie Grima - Knox Raiders
With 11 fourth quarter points, Australian Opal Hollie Grima lifted the Knox Ford Raiders to a rewarding 83-65 victory and receives her first FUTURO Health Supports & Braces Player of the Week recognition.

After a gruelling fitness test and light scrimmage with the Opals in the morning at the Australian Training camp in Geelong, Hollie played a pivotal role for her team and finished the game with 25pts@69%, 15rebs, and 1assist. Grima was also solid at the defensive end, containing MVP contender Karen Ashby to only 14pts.

Other notable performances were:

* NW Tasmania import Tracy Gahan continues to record consistent numbers and helped the Thunder to an 85-76 victory against rivals Launceston with 29pts@84%, 14rebs, 4ass and 1blk.

* Nunawading Spectres youngster Jenna O'Hea recorded her best game of the season last Thursday against Bendigo with 27pts@57%, 11rebs, 2ass and 2stls.

* Albury/Wodonga Lady Bandits duo Madeline Plunkett (16pts@35%, 18rebs, 2ass) and Kristy Harrington (25pts@43%, 9rebs and 3ass) helped end their teams disappointing losing streak and moved off the bottom of the ladder with a 78-77 overtime victory at home against Frankston.

SEABL South Men Player of the Week

Andrew Rice - Bendigo Braves
Andrew Rice helped the Bendigo Braves return to the winners circle after two consecutive losses, with a 101-97 road victory at Nunawading and earns his first FUTURO Player of the Week recognition. Rice recorded 30pts@45%, 19rebs, 2ass, 5blks and 1stl and contained Nunawading centre Paul Flynn to only 2pts. Rice played all but 4mins of the game and was outstanding in the third quarter, scoring 11 of his teams 25 third quarter points, including five straight points to end the quarter. After an injury plagued 2005/06 NBL season with Wollongong Hawks, Andrew is playing consistent basketball and preparing for an improved year with the Townsville Crocodiles this upcoming NBL season.

SEABL East Men Player of the Week

David Gruber - Frankston Blues
With 27pts@59%, 17rebs, 1ass and 3blks, Frankston Blues import and reigning East Men Most Valuable Player David Gruber earns his second Player of the Week recognition this season.
Gruber helped his team to a much needed 111-102 road victory at Albury/Wodonga, with a sensational last quarter effort. With his team leading by one point at three quarter time, Gruber destroyed the Bandits with 11pts and 10rebs to help his team secure the win.

Other notable performances were:

* Hobart Chargers put a stop to the Miners winning streak on Friday, thanks largely to the efforts of Daniel George. Daniel recorded 22pts@58%, 23rebs, 1ass and 3blks, helping the Chargers to a 112-104 victory.

* Grant Keys and his team mates proved last weeks victory against Geelong was no fluke, defeating the ladder leaders for the second time this week. Grant Keys was sensational for his team, recording 24pts@45%, 6rebs, 2ass and 2blks.

* Ballarat Miners import Paul Larmand had a consistent weekend in Tasmania, averaging 24.5pts and 13.5rebs.
