The Australian Opals will depart on Tuesday for China, as they get set to take part in a six-nation tournament against the top women's basketball nations.

The Opals will line up against the likes of China, Russia and the Czech Republic at the tournament, as they prepare themselves for the upcoming World Championships to be held in Brazil in September.

While the team is somewhat weakened due to the commitment to the WNBA of seven players, each member of the team will want to grab this opportunity to shine if they are to be part of the team in Brazil.

After this tournament, the Opals will attend a camp back home in Australia in late July, before heading off for a pre-championships warm-up series against Lithuania.
