Having spent the past three seasons with intra-state rival Townsville, Tragardh's signing represents a homecoming for the young Brisbane born and bred centre.

Tragardh ascended the junior ranks at Southern Districts where he later played QABL representative basketball. A year at Division 1 Oral Roberts University in Oklahoma (2002-2003) saw further development, while his ABA career has been nothing short of spectacular.

In 2002 he was the nation's leading scorer in the ABA, averaging 34 points per game and holds a career best of 47 points in a single game at that level.

Currently playing with Rockhampton, who will compete in this weekend's QABL finals, Tragardh is averaging 27 points and 14.5 rebounds per game while shooting the ball at 50 per cent from the field.

The Bullets believe the 22-year-old has a great deal of unfulfilled potential having played just 80 games in the NBL.

Tragardh's scoring ability has long been recognised - despite limited playing time he has a NBL career high of 24 points in a game - but his recent ABA career has seen improvement in the areas of rebounding & defense.

Tragardh, 208cm and 112 kgs, joins a front court that includes four-time Olympian and NBL legend Mark Bradtke, efficient import Dusty Rychart and smaller forwards including Sam Mackinnon and Dillon Boucher. The chance to join this group contributed to Tragardh's decision as he seeks to become a more complete player at the elite level.

Tragardh's signing completes the roster for the BreakFree Bullets, 11 players are contracted to the club including Steve Black who is anticipated to return during the season.
