The Taipans administration has made it one of their goals in the off-season to increase season membership sales on last year. According to Taipans Executive Director Juanita O’Brien, this steady increase in membership sales can be attributed to a number of factors.

“Making the semi finals last season was obviously a big contributor, but our staff have also put in a big off-season and worked really hard towards increasing our season member base,” O’Brien said.

However it is not only the general public who have thrown their support behind the Taipans, the corporate community have also come to the party with corporate box sales also at a record high.

Taipans Marketing and Promotions Executive Jacqui Nolan is extremely happy with the corporate support and believes corporate boxes will sell out this season.

“Last season we had 12 unsold corporate boxes which were sold on a game by game basis. This year we have seen tremendous corporate support and will probably sell out in the near future,” Nolan said.

The 2006/2007 season is shaping up nicely for the Taipans off the court and from what we have seen this pre-season, a repeat of last years on court success is looking very likely.
