With his team needing to record a victory on the road to remain in finals contention, Hobart guard Mark Banovic had a magnificent weekend, and helped the Chargers to a 2-0 road record and consolidate fourth position on the South Men ladder.
Banovic, has been troubled with injuries all season, but showed when he is injury free, he is a player to watch, recording 39pts@57%, 3rebs, 9ass and 1stl Saturday night versus Nunawading. Mark was in hot form, connecting on six attempts from the three point arc, including three from three in the second quarter. Mark increased his scoring spree the following day with 41pts@50%, 3rebs, 5ass and 3stls in the Chargers much needed 111-96 victory against fifth placed Kilsyth.

Rhys Carter – Mildura Mavericks
Despite his teams 0-2 road trip result, Mildura Mavericks guard Rhys Carter had a consistent weekend, averaging 18.5pts, 10rebs, 6.5ass and 4.5stls. Carter started the weekend with 21pts@42%, 8rebs, 2ass and 6stls against former club Geelong. The following day against Knox, Rhys recorded a rare Quadruple negative double, recording 16pts, 12rebs, 11ass, but an unfortunate 10 turnovers.
