Judging by her performances in recent weeks, Katrina Hibbert's chance of securing a position on the Australian Opals World Championship team are improving, and she receives her second Futuro Player of the Week recognition in three weeks. Katrina helped Knox record an 88-75 victory over local rivals Kilsyth and remain in first position on the ladder. Hibbert finished the game with 20 points @ 57%, 11 rebounds and 8 assists.

* Kilsyth Lady Cobras Jessica Bibby had a solid offensive weekend recording 22pts and 3ass against Knox and 27pts against Nunawading on Sunday

* Ballarat Lady Miners MVP candidate Karen Ashby recorded 22pts@55%, 15rebs, 3ass and 1blk on Saturday night, but could not withstand the Braves firepower, losing 62-65.

* Nunawading Spectres Jenna O'Hea has been in great form in recent weeks and recorded 25pts@55%, 15rebs, 4ass, 1blk and 2stls on Sunday against Kilsyth.

Anthony Stewart - Hobart Chargers

Hobart Chargers guard Anthony Stewart earns his second Futuro Player of the Week recognition after a stunning offensive display on Saturday night. Stewart helped Hobart to a 115-101 victory over state rivals NW Tasmania, and increased their chances of securing the fourth and final position in the south men finals.

Anthony started the game with 13 opening quarter points, but destroyed the Thunder with 20 points in the third term including eleven consecutive points mid way through the quarter. Stewart finished the game with 52pts@51%, 3rebs and 4ass.

SEABL East Men Player of the Week

Andy Gilbert - Frankston Blues

With a sensational 47pts@69%, 10rebs, 1ass, 1blk and 4stls, Frankston Blues import Andy Gilbert receives his first Futuro Player of the Week recognition. Playing his first game in Mildura since joining the Blues pre-season, Gilbert helped Frankston to a 145-106 victory and a stranglehold on fourth position in the east. Gilbert recorded double digit scoring in all four quarters, with 13 points in the second and fourth terms.

Other notable performances were:
* With a season best 41pts@60%, 11rebs, 3ass and 4stls, Knox Raiders CJ Massingale helped his team to a much needed 112-93 victory over local rivals Kilsyth.

* Hobart Chargers Mark Banovic had another quality game with 13pts, 2rebs and a season best 18ass against NW Tasmania on Saturday night.

* Chaz Briggs continues to impress in his first SEABL season and recorded 38pts@59%, 13rebs, 4ass, 3blks and 4stls against Frankston on Saturday night.
