It's Hoare's first season of Big V Championship basketball and her first POTW Award.

It comes as her return from imjury helped Hume lift for two wins this weekend past.

Playing top four sides in Waverley and Eltham, Hoare returned 25 points, 15 rebounds, seven blocked shots and seven assists for the round.

Against Eltham Saturday, she had 10 points on five of six shooting, eight rebounds, three assists and four blocked shots.

Hoare backed up Sunday with 15 points on six of 11 shooting, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks.

Overall for the weekend, Hoare shot at nearly 65%.

Hume, disappointed at a frustrating year in which they will not play finals, made up to some degree for that with the weekend's showing.

Other players in consideration for this weeks award were:

* Dandenong's Jess Shearing, who was on song hitting 11 of 13 shots for 23 points and dished six assists in a great night out against Bulleen
* Sandringham's Caitlyn Ryan, who made 13 points, had six rebounds, six assists, five steals and two blocks as the Sabres beat Coburg
* Sharin Milner, who scored heavily against Waverley and logged a bag of points and assists in the win over Eltham
