The Seahawks are one of just two sides that have managed to defeat the Sabres in 2006, a major shootout that occurred at the Sabres venue, and a key win for Warrnambool who have secured third spot heading into the Big V Championship finals.

This game was always going to have a big buildup. Last year nearly 1000 fans packed into the Arc for this contest as Bobby Cunningham, then playing for the Sabres but still living in Warrnambool, and Curtis Small, built a huge rivalry in the local press. This is different, Cunningham is "back" with his "home" team, and Sandringham are potentially weaker without Wheeler, but the Sabres will bring their best game as they contest their last game before a round two finals match-up at home.

A few weeks ago we would not have looked at this for game of the week but such was Hume City's success last weekend that it forced a rethink. The Bronco's, with almost a full squad, accounted for both Eltham and Waverley last round; great results for them as a disappointing season winds down.

We think they can worry the Sabres, who have little to play for with the minor premiership sewn up. Milner and Hoare dominated last week. If they can get on top of Ryan, Lough and Fowler, and if Tomlinson can again make a big contribution, this could be very close.
