West Sydney Razorbacks coach Cal Bruton believes the Townsville Crocodiles are the team to watch in the 2007 Philips Championship finals series.

The Razorbacks were upstaged by the Crocs on Saturday night 123-93 and following his team’s loss Bruton told the Townsville Bulletin the Crocs are a real threat to the 2007 Championship.

"They are a top four team, they spanked us in the past two games by a total of 69 points and they showed they are a team to be reckoned with," Bruton told the Bulletin’s Anthony Stewart.

"Particularly with the way they are so unselfish, as indicated by their eight guys in double figures and the way they get after it."

The Crocs line-up is packed with genuine superstars including John Rillie, Brad Newley and Larry Abney coupled with a strong ensemble cast.

Under the reign on new Trevor Gleeson the Crocs have gone somewhat unnoticed this season but according to Bruton they have the right mix to go all the way this season.

"I think they are right there." Bruton said.

"The difference between the top three teams is that they probably have a lot more experienced guys playing together.”

"(But) I think they are really close. I think if they had a couple of years together they would really step up to that upper echelon of the league, but they are close, they are a good team.”
