AIS head coach Marty Clarke believes Dragons recruit Joe Ingles is poised to turn heads in his rookie NBL season.

Ingles dominated every category of the stat sheet in his sides' 101-83 win over the Frankston Blues on Saturday, with 21 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals.

"On Saturday Joe was offensively very solid," added Clarke.

"He took down five offensive boards, and created easy looks for his teammates.

"Defensively he held their American (Andy Gilbert) to two points, and was able to get his hand on the ball and affect a few steals."

Clarke says there's a noticable improvement in Ingles' game since begining with the Dragons.

"He's very competent in his ability right now, and it shows out there on the floor," said Clarke.

With Saturday's win, the AIS progress to face the Canberra Gunners at home this weekend.
