Big V Championship finals
18/08/2006
Both the Sabres Championship Men and the Championship Women’s sides have advanced to the Big V Grand Final series commencing this weekend and will both tip off against Dandenong.

The Men secured their place a couple of weeks back with a win over Dandenong but it was just this weekend where the Women finally secured a berth with a win in game 3 of their best of 3 series against Waverley on Sunday.

With both Sabres teams finishing on top of the Big V Championship ladder, they have secured home court advantage though the finals series. In a league first, the Sabres will both face off against the Dandenong Rangers. The Rangers will host game 1 of the best of 3 series which will commence this weekend at Dandenong Basketball Stadium.

Next week the Sabres will return home for game 2 with the women scheduled to tip off from 6pm on Saturday August 26th with the Men’s game will follow at 8.15pm.

Tickets for the game will go on sale Friday from Sandringham Stadium and to secure your tickets you will need to get in fast as we are expecting them to sell out fast. Visit www.sabres.com.au for further details.
