Your own South Dragons take on the Townsville Crocs at the swamp in Townsville tomorrow night. Coming off their first win on Sunday against Cairns, the Dragons are looking to continue their winning ways with a victory over the Crocs.

The game will be a run and gun affair, with both teams capable of scoring heavily. While the Crocs boast electric import Larry Abney, streaky shooter John Rillie and young potential Brad Newley, they have lost their centre and will be playing small ball, giving recently returned Matt Burston a chance to stamp his authority on the game. It will be also be a chance for Rosell Ellis, the Dragons newest addition, to continue to adjust to his new club and keep up his intense defensive pressure.

The impending match-up between Newley and hotly-tipped rookie of the year Joe Ingles is a battle we are all eager to see and should provide sufficient clips for the highlight reel.

Playing coach Shane Heal is confident the Dragons can continue their winning ways due to improved defensive pressure and enhanced offensive intensity, but acknowledges “we still have a lot of work ahead of us.” The game will screen on Fox Sports from 7:30.
