"JB", as he is known, is the club's all time leading rebounder, and is a favourite with The Supercats faithful. He was an integral part of The Supercats winning back to back SEABL conference titles and 2006 ABA National titles. Brown will arrive in early December and will join Supercats pre season training later that month.

JB has won two Supercats MVP titles and was named in the all star five at the 2006 ABA National finals. He is thrilled to return to his second home for season 2007. "I love Geelong and playing for the Supercats. We had such a great year in 2006 and I always wanted to come back and defend our titles. I can't wait to see all my friends in Geelong and play in front of our home crowd again. We definitely have the best crowd in the league" Brown said.

The Supercats are also delighted to have the 202cm forward back for another year. Head coach, Mark Leader, believes Brown's signing will strengthen The Supercats' quest for three SEABL titles in a row. "Jamal was fantastic in the national finals in Newcastle and it is great to have him back. He is a proven performer at this level and he fits our game very well. He had a few injuries in 2006 so a fully fit JB will be a big asset next year" Leader said.

The Supercats recently announced they had signed key local players, Captain Jarrod Leonard, Nathan Herbert, Jamie Medved, Dean Brebner and Jason Reardon. The club also remains in contact with Shawn Myers who may be available again depending on his British Basketball Leagues commitments.
