Kobe Bryant has scored 35 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to their fourth victory from their last six matches after a 104-94 thrashing of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Bryant was unstoppable making 15-of-22 shots including three long range three pointers, as the Lakers improved their record to 20-11, while the 76ers drop to 8-22.

The Lakers led by eight points at quarter time, and increased their advantage to 15 at the last change before closing out the match, with the 76ers never mounting a serious challenge.

Kyle Korver nailed five three-pointers on his way to 29 points for the 76ers, while Andre Iguodala contributed 19.

Meanwhile, Tracy McGrady netted 38 points as the Houston Rockets held on to narrowly defeat the Memphis Grizzlies 111-109.

The Rockets led by ten points at three-quarter time, and while a spirited last-quarter charge led by Mike Miller (32 points) and Pau Gasol (21 points) drew the Grizzlies close, the Rockets held on to claim their 19th victory of the season.

In other matches the Los Angeles Clippers overpowered the New York Knicks 90-80, the San Antonio Spurs thrashed the Atlanta Hawks 95-81, the Phoenix Suns edged past the Detroit Pistons 108-101, the Dallas Mavericks came from behind to narrowly defeat the Denver Nuggets 89-85 and the Seattle Supersonics had a 101-95 home victory over the Boston Celtics.
