The Wizards rallied to beat the visiting Bucks, the Suns held on for road win in Toronto and LeBron James had 32 points in Cleveland's win over the Celtics in a busy night of NBA action that saw nine games played on Wednesday.

A late Gilbert Arenas triple proved the difference in Washington with the guard breaking a 105-105 deadlock with his long-range effort as time expired to keep the Wizards' noses in front of Orlando in Southeast division with a 108-105 win.

Arenas had 32 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists on the night while Michael Redd top-scored for Milwaukee with 27 points. Australian centre Andrew Bogut had a quiet night scoring just four points and pulling down five boards.

Phoenix held a 15-point half-time lead at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, but had to see off a second-half charge from the Raptors to take the win which sees the Suns three games clear of the Lakers in the Pacific division.

Toronto held a slender one-point lead with 43 seconds remaining, but Steve Nash scored five points down the stretch to see his side home. Chris Bosh top-scored for the home side with 26 points to go with his 14 rebounds.

Little separated the Celtics and Cleveland when the two met in Boston, but with his side clinging to a one-point lead with seven seconds left in regulation, James iced two free throws to seal the 107-104 win.

In other action, Elton Brand poured in 28 points as the Clippers defeated the Heat 110-95 in Miami, a game-high 36 points to Matt Barnes couldn't get Golden State over the line in Memphis with the Warriors losing a shootout 144-135 and Utah prevailed over the 76ers 98-87 in Salt lake City.

The Timberwolves needed overtime at home in Minnesota to see off San Antonio 103-101, Tracy McGrady scored 31 points as the Rockets notched a 103-96 home win over Seattle and the Knicks were rarely troubled by the Trail Blazers and came away from Portland with 99-81 in the late game.
