Kevin Garnett shot a game-high 32 points and pulled down nine rebounds to help the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the in-form LA Clippers 101-87.
The victory snaps a six-game losing streak for Minnesota and brings the Clippers' four-game winning streak to an end as the two teams battle for the remaining spot in the Western Conference playoffs at 21-22 apiece.
Elton Brand continued his good run of form with 25 points and 12 boards for the Clippers but it wasn't enough to reverse their fortunes against the Timberwolves with LA losing 13 of its last 17 meetings with Minnesota.
The Clippers managed only one field goal in the final 7:20 of the game and appeared to run out of legs after winning a thriller against the New Jersey Nets on Friday.
The Clippers led with just 6:36 on the clock in the final quarter before the Timberwolves went on a 10-0 run that iced the game.
The Portland Trailblazers have won a thriller against the Memphis Grizzlies 135-132 in double overtime.
Power forward Zach Randolph scored a career-high 42 points and grabbed 12 boards drilling a three-pointer with 30 seconds left in the second overtime period to give Portland the win.
With the score at 111 apiece at the end of regulation and 116 after the first overtime period, Randolph was the difference hitting 16-of-40 from the field.
The Philadelphia 36ers, downed the Atlanta Hawks, The Indiana Pacers are back on the winners list after their win against the Toronto Raptors, the NO/Oklahoma City Hornets were too good for the Utah Jazz, the Chicago Bulls won their third straight game beating the Miami Heat, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Sacramento Kings in a thriller, the New Jersey Nets accounted for the Denver Nuggets, and Golden State Warriors pumped the Charlotte Bobcats.
