Myers, a star forward of the Supercats successful 2006 SEABL and ABA national title campaigns returns after a stint with the Leicester Riders in the British Basketball League. Myers averaged 20 points per game and 11.5 rebounds and was a key player in the Supercats Championship victories.

Cox is the 2006 guard of the SEABL All Star Team. He is a veteran of over 250 SEABL games with Ballarat and also has NBL experience including playing with the Melbourne Tigers in their 2005/2006 Championship year. Cox is currently playing for Tigers in the Basketball Geelong Division 1 men's competition after departing the Ballarat Miners due to family and work commitments.

Confirmation of these signings strengthens the roster of the 2007 SEABL and ABA title defence. Talented youngsters Chris Brown and Nick Owusu have also agreed to terms for the 2007 season.

Cox has settled well into his new team and cant wait for the season to start. "Obviously the Supercats have a great program which won a national title last year and it is exciting for me to be a part of it. This team knows how to win and I hope I can be a strong contributor to the team's success in 2007," Cox said

Myers too is looking forward to returning to the Arena, where he thrilled the crowd with some exciting basketball in 2006. "The 2006 season with the Supercats was fantastic and I am happy to be coming back to defend the championship titles. The Geelong crowd is the best in the league and they welcomed me from day one so hopefully I can play some great basketball for the team and the fans." Myers said.

The Supercats guard rotation, which includes Captain Jarrod Leonard, Jamie Medved, Jason Reardon and Braith Cox promises to cause headaches to opposition clubs. Coach Mark Leader is optimistic his 2007 squad has the talent to again go all the way. "Signing Shawn and Braith is sensational. They are both great players and will add so much to our squad. We have a talented bunch of guys who are working hard at pre season training to replicate the success of 2006" Leader said.

The Supercats' next assignment is the Trans Tasman Challenge against the NZNBL champions, Hawkes Bay Hawks, in Napier on 22nd February before taking on Kilsyth at the Arena on Sat 24th February. Tip off for this game is at 7pm with family activities planned from 5:30pm.
