Randall is likely to complete a stint in Europe prior to stepping on court for the Raiders, but coach Mark Holland has signalled that she'll arrive with two key attributes - fitness and form.

"Emma brings plenty of experience to the group and will join us once she's completed her current contract in Italy," said Holland. "If you look at our past record in recruiting, it's great for the basketball community that Knox is able to attract national players. It also goes a long way to helping with the development of our younger players."

Fresh from a championship winning season with Samara in Russia, Randall is in good form and will attract plenty of support from the stands at Knox Converse Stadium.

While the final women's squad is yet to be announced, the Raiders can confirm that 300-game veteran Chelsea Laing will play on in 2007. Having announced her retirement late last year, Laing had a change of mind during the off-season and has returned to the court in great shape and is raring to go once again.

Others to impress during pre-season training include Andrea McMahon and Julia Tan, while Cara Angel and Jo Myers are also looking good. Best of all, a number of emerging Knox juniors have joined the senior squad and could play a role this season. They include Gemma Harper, Esther Timmermans, Alana Wallis, Danni Fidge, Rachael Waterhouse and Danni Bone.

In other news, the Knox Ford Raiders men will step up a level when they host Albury-Wodonga this Saturday from 2.15pm at Knox Converse Stadium.
