Countdown
Countdown
20/02/2007
With the South Dragons’ stellar season ending last Thursday night, the countdown is now on to season 2007-‘08.

And after such an impressive debut in the national league, there is every reason to get excited about the year ahead.

Just ask Joe Ingles.

“I think next year will be even more exciting for us,” Ingles said this week.

“It was disappointing to get knocked out in the first round of the playoffs but I know all the boys are pretty proud of what we’ve done.

“With all that happened early in the year a lot of people doubted us but Shane turned it all around and it’s a credit to him. All the boys jumped on board and started playing some good basketball and played with a hell of a lot of heart to get to where we did.”

Ingles will be back in action for the Dragons when the Philips Championship returns in late September.

The achievements of all the South Dragons stars will be officially recognised in March at the members’ awards celebration.

The event is an opportunity for all Dragons members to congratulate the team on its debut season. Awards will be presented to the team’s Most Valuable, Most Improved and Members' Favourite players.

All members are welcome to purchase additional tickets for family and friends - reserve your ticket today!

Full details of all South Dragons membership packages will be announced following the release of the new season’s schedule. Stay tuned to www.southdragons.com for information updates – the South Dragons look forward to having all supporters on board in 2007-’08.

For junior fans, registration forms are now available for the South Dragons’ basketball development camps in April. Hosted by Olympian Michele Timms and with guest appearances by the South stars, the camps are a not-to-be-missed event! Click HERE for registration details.

The action is set to continue at Dragons headquarters right through the off-season. Check out www.southdragons.com for all the latest news and events from your favourite club.
