ANTHONY STEWART - Hobart Chargers
After a full NBL season with Cairns Taipans, Anthony Stewart has returned home to Tasmania and has helped the Hobart Chargers to a successful 2-0 weekend on the mainland to start the 2007 season. Stewart averaged 29 points, 3rebounds and 4.5assists for the weekend. Anthony was at his dominant best on Saturday night with 40pts@55%, 2rebs and 4ass against Bendigo, scoring 29 points in the second half which helped the Chargers record a 118-101 victory after being level 61 all at the half.

East Men Player of the Week

BRADLEY SHERIDAN - Albury/Wodonga Bandits
Returning to the SEABL after many seasons in the NBL, Bradley Sheridan put on a show for the Albury/Wodonga locals recording 37 points @ 64%, 13 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. His performance helped the Bandits to a 113-92 victory against NW Tasmania. Sheridan was at his best in the second half when the game was in the balance as he kept the scoreboard ticking for his team, but also helped on the defensive end by limiting the opportunities of the Thunder big men.

Other notable performances were:

* New NW Tasmania Thunder import Troy de Vries showed he will be an offensive threat this season, averaging 29.5pts, 4rebs and 4.5ass. Troy had 33pts on Sunday in the Thunder's 113-103 victory against Nunawading

* Southern Districts guard Peni Nasalo had a consistent weekend in his first glimpse of SEABL competition. Peni averaged 23pts, 6.7rebs, 3ass and 2stls on the Spartans three game road trip.

* 2007 East Men MVP Anthony Petrie continued his dominance on the league, recording 30pts@54%, 11rebs, 3ass and 2stls and helping the Gunners record an 89-80 victory at home against Kilsyth.
