The Nuggets led by 26-points at half-time, and extended the lead to 38 at the final change, before the Suns outscored the home team 34-20 in the final term.

Iverson was unstoppable, hitting 16-of-22 from the field, while Carmelo Anthony provided ample support with 29 points and eight rebounds.

For the Suns Leandro Barbosa top-scored with 25 points, while Amare Stoudemire (13 points) and Shawn Marion (12 points) were well held.

In Milwaukee, Andrew Bogut netted 17 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks overcame the Charlotte Bobcats 97-91.

Michael Redd nailed 27 points for the Bucks, while Charlie Bell (18 points) and Mo Williams 17 points were more then serviceable.

Gerald Wallace hit 20 points for the Bobcats and reserve Walter Herrmann scored 17, but the Bucks rallied late to claim the win.

In Cleveland, LeBron James hit 24 points, pulled down 17 rebounds and dished off nine assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers proved too strong for the Utah Jazz 82-73.

James was on fire during the match, only narrowly missing a triple-double, while Mehmet Okur and Carlos Boozer were best for the Jazz with 19 points apiece.

In other matches the Boston Celtics upset the San Antonio Spurs 91-85, the Indiana Pacers thrashed the Atlanta Hawks 113-90, the Sacramento Kings overpowered the Orlando Magic 95-83, the Washington Wizards downed the New Orleans Hornets 125-103, the Memphis Grizzles proved too good for the Chicago Bulls 104-103 and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Seattle Supersonics 99-98.
