In six short months the Dragons have revolutionised the national league, taking crowd attendances and game-night entertainment to new heights.

Last season the Dragons recorded the top three attendances of any team in the home-and-away competition and four of the top six crowds for the year. In its debut season in the NBL the club pulled a massive 9175 fans to the Boxing Day derby, 7910 to the Tigers clash in Round 5 and 6249 to the final showdown against Singapore in Round 20.

With the top two attendances in the league turning out to this city’s cross-town derbies, the Dragons have sparked renewed interest in the national league. Huge crowds are again expected at next season’s Melbourne showdown, where the Dragons will be out to avenge their first-up series loss.

But it’s not just the cross-town rivalry that has hoops fans out in force; with their star-studded playing list, world-class stadium and unrivalled game-night entertainment, the Dragons have revived the face of professional ball.

NBL legend Shane Heal and rising star Joe Ingles will again lead the Dragons’ on-court assault in ‘07, with the ever-popular Dragonflyz set to return with games, giveaways and more.
