It is the third time in the franchise's history the Mavs have broken the magical 60 win mark and they did it despite losing superstar Dirk Nowitzki to an ankle injury just on half-time.

The Bucks went to the break with a 62-54 lead, but the Mavs rallied and leveled the score at 103 apiece with 29 seconds left in the match.

The final blow for the Bucks came when Ersan Illyasova turned the ball over and Jerry Stackhouse was fouled with 15 seconds left. Stackhouse made the first of his two free throws to ice the game.

The Toronto Raptors are in line for home-court advantage in round one of the playoffs after humbling the Miami Heat 96-83 at the Air Canada Centre.

Led by Chris Bosh with 13 points and 18 boards, the Raptors were ahead from start to finish and jump to third place in the Eastern Conference overtaking the Heat.

Anthony Parker shot 20 points to help Toronto break a four-game losing streak, while Bosh became the franchise's all-time leading double-double scorer with 111.

Shaquille O'Neal was the Heat's best with 17 points and six rebounds but he wasn't able to lift his side.

Miami played without superstar Dwayne Wade who missed with a dislocated shoulder while Jason Kapono was also forced to watch from the sidelines after spraining his ankle.

In other games, the Washington Wizards were too good for the Philadelphia 76ers 111-108, the Charlotte Bobcats comfortably beat the Atlanta Hawks 101-87, the New Jersey Nets edged out the Indiana Pacers 118-94, the San Antonio Spurs accounted for the New Orleans Oklahoma City Hornets 92-88, the Seattle Supersonics beat the Denver Nuggets 100-97, the Boston Celtics got back on the winner's list against the Orlando Magic 105-96, the New York Knicks kept their playoffs hope alive with a 97-93 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Utah Jazz edged past the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-102 and the Houston Rockets downed the Los Angeles Clippers 92-87.
