Raiders battle Tassie rivals
11/04/2007
This Saturday night the Knox Ford Raiders SEABL Men and Women are in action here at Knox, with both teams taking on rivals from the Apple Isle.

At 6pm the Knox Ford Raiders SEABL Women will take on the Launceston Tornadoes. Two weeks ago the Raiders suffered a large loss at the hands of the Tornadoes who have shown in the early part of the season that they will be pushing hard to make finals this year. The Raiders currently sit in 8th spot on the ladder and know a win is vital over the 4th placed Tornadoes to keep in touch for a play-off position. Knox will welcome back Australian Opals World Championship Gold Medalist Hollie Grima to their side. Hollie will give Knox some much needed height and will be looking at making an immediate impact with the Raiders in this her 3rd season with the blue and gold.

At 8pm the Knox Ford Raiders SEABL Men take on the current top of the table North West Tasmania Thunder in what is sure to be a great game between 2 strong rivals. Knox and North West Tasmania have enjoyed a strong rivalry since the two teams met in the 2004 SEABL South Men Championship game. Knox will be hoping new import big man John Bryant is able to line up for the Blue and Gold who will be backing up from a game in Queensland the night before.

Get along to the Knox Converse Stadium and don't miss another big night of basketball action.
