Strong has been in wonderful form this year, standing tall as the Seahawks go to guy as they have dropped just one game in five weeks.

This weekend his time on court was limited due to injury, but he still managed 43 points and 29 rebounds across two games to claim the league player of the week award for Round 5.

Strong logged 27 minutes Saturday night at Werribee - finishing with 24 points on seven of 15 shooting to go with 14 boards.

Come Sunday, he managed 33 minutes against DV, made nine of 16 shots for 19 points and another 15 rebounds.

He is averaging an imperious 18.3 rebounds per game, three better than the next best in the competition. He is fourth in the league in scoring - behind O'Hea, Weaver and Conn.

Once again there were some fine individual performances across the weekend that were in contention for the leagues POTW award, including Strong's team mate Tim Gainey, DV's Michael Petridis, who sccored heavily in two losses and Waverley's Graeme Anstey, who rejected seven shots against Melbourne.
