The South Dragons are set to be fighting fit next season with the appointment of physiotherapist Amanda Berntsen to the club.
Berntsen joins the Dragons with 15 years experience and a wealth of professional knowledge to her name.
Throughout an illustrious career Berntsen has worked with the AIS, Victoria Giants, Dandenong Rangers and World Championship-winning Opals basketball teams.
With an extensive history of involvement in elite-level basketball, Berntsen will add vital expertise and sport-specific know-how to the South Dragons’ camp.
She will soon begin work with the Dragons to ensure all players are at full fitness ahead of the club’s new-season launch on September 22.
Under Berntsen’s watch will be Brent Hobba, Nick Horvath and Luke Martin, set to join the Dragons after extensive off-season campaigns in the Big V and New Zealand national leagues, Boomers hopefuls Jacob Holmes and Joe Ingles, Shane Heal on return from knee surgery, Brad Hill on return from injury and star recruit Cortes Groves.
Berntsen’s addition to the club is just one more arrow in the South Dragons’ bow, now aimed directly at Championship glory.
