The Spurs recorded a comfortable 114-106 victory over the Suns, while the Cavaliers led throughout to defeat the Nets 88-72.

In San Antonio, it was Argentinean Manu Ginobili (33 points) and Frenchman Tony Parker (30 points) that did the damage as the Spurs clinched the series win over the Suns four games to two.

The first half was a tight affair, with the Spurs taking a narrow two-point lead into half-time, before Ginobili, Parker and Tim Duncan found their groove in the third term to open up a decisive 81-67 lead at three-quarter-time.

The Suns fought back, cutting the margin to just six with under a minute left, but Michael Finley hit six points in the final 20 second to ice the victory for the Spurs.

Duncan (24 points) and Finley (11 points) provided ample support to Ginobili and Parker for the Spurs, while Amare Stoudemire was near unstoppable for the Suns with 38 points.

The Spurs will now face the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference finals, with the first game to be played in San Antonio on Monday morning (Australian time).

In New Jersey, the Cavaliers exploded out of the blocks, opening up a 32-15 lead at quarter-time against a stunned Nets outfit.

Despite scoring just eight points in the third term, the Cavaliers held on to reach their first Eastern Conference final series since 1992.

LeBron James had an exceptional match for the Cavaliers, providing 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, while reserve Donyell Marshall netted 18 points off the bench.

Point-guard Jason Kidd led the Nets with 19 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, Richard Jefferson hit 16 points, while Vince Carter was quiet, contributing just 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting.

The Cavaliers will now face the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference finals series, the first game to be played in Detroit on Tuesday (Australian time).
