After a fantastic first nine rounds of the season, Dandenong's Brent Hobba did not disappoint again this week, with two impressive performances earning him Player of the Week honours for Round 10.

Hobba (15 points, nine rebounds) put in a solid performance in Dandenong's first game for the weekend, defeating Diamond Valley 120-77 on Saturday night.

Game two for the weekend saw Hobba hit back with a massive 43 points and 11 rebounds against the Melbourne Tigers, recording his second 40+ effort for the season and seeing the Rangers into first place position on the ladder.

Hobba's stellar season has him with an average of 24.4 points per game and 8.9 rebounds.

Other contenders this week included:
* Ash Cannan, with 22 points and 10 rebounds against Diamond Valley.
* Sandringham's Simon Conn, with 27 points and 13 rebounds over Eltham.
* Eltham's Adam Moore, with 32 points (11/16 field goals, 3/3 three pointers and 7/7 free throw's), in his team's 22-point loss to Sandringham.
* Jameel Pugh, with 34 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to Hume City.
* Warrnambool's Lester Strong and Sam Burch, both scoring 26 points against Werribee and with Strong ending the game with 15 boards.

BIGV WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: JULIE DEGROOT - Waverley Falcons

Julie Degroot again dominated for Waverley this weekend, gaining her second CW Player of the Week for the season.

Degroot scored an unbeatable 30 of the teams 69 points in the Falcons' win over Eltham, making her the leading scorer of the round. Her amazing 16/16 from the line brought up her free throw average to 84% for the season so far.

Degroot is averaging 16.3 points and 3.4 assists per game, keeping her in the top five for points and assists this season.

Other contenders this weekend included:

* Melbourne's Michelle Brogan, with her second consecutive weekend of double-doubles with 28 points and 13 rebounds against Coburg, and 24 points and 12 rebounds over Dandenong.
* Tegan Fowler's 21 points and nine rebounds for Sandringham's demolition of Bulleen.
* Hume City's Kellie Burbridge (17 points, seven rebounds) and teammate Lisa Troyahn (15 points, three rebounds) against Dandenong.
