Geelong vs Hobart
Supercats continue to torture their opponents each week, averaging a league-best 118 points per game. Import Shawn Myers (19.7ppg, 9.7rpg) is the most productive player in the Supercats' line-up, and he is coming off the bench along with quality guard Braith Cox. Hobart, on the
other hand, has four players averaging 38+ minutes per game and struggle for depth on the bench. Geelong defeated Hobart 123-96 in Round 8 earlier this year and with the
home crowd support should make it two from two.

Mt Gambier vs NW Tasmania
NW Tasmania are currently on a two-game winning streak, but have struggled on the road this season. Thunder have a disappointing 2-7 away record this year, and will need to improve it this weekend to stay in contention for a finals double chance. Pioneers import Chris Lewis (14.1ppg,
7.9rpg) has shown glimpses of talent in recent weeks, and all have come at “The Icehouse”. He will need to display his array of skills once again this week for the Pioneers to win their third successive home game.

AIS vs Nunawading
AIS returned home from Victoria with an acceptable 1-1 result, and in striking range of a top four placing. Mills, Dowdell, Ogilvy, Gliddon, Johnson, Smith, Steidl and Seebohm will not be playing this week as they have Australian Emus commitments. AIS assistant coach Paul Gorriss will take charge of a very young and inexperienced team, but highly capable of recording a victory.

Southern Districts vs Hobart
Sam Mackinnon has been an impressive replacement player for the Spartans, and will be keen for another solid performance this week, which is likely his last before travelling to the USA for NBA trials. Spartans guard Adam Gibson (22.1ppg, 4.2apg) will also be aware of his opposition, having played with the majority of them last year. His battle in the backcourt with Charger Robert Inches will be a game highlight.

Albury/Wodonga vs Frankston
Rivalry between these two teams has been extremely intense since the 2001 East Men Grand Final, when the Bandits recorded the win. However, Frankston have the edge on the Bandits in recent matches, defeating them on the past four occasions including a 110-105 victory in Round
11. The Blues received 38pts from its bench players in Round 11, helping them to the victory. This will be one factor Frankston coach Bill Runchey will be keen to repeat.

Ballarat vs Geelong
On paper Geelong should easily win this contest, but the Miners showed last week against Canberra they are capable of a major upset. Ballarat played a great game as a team, and if coach Shanahan can employ a strategy to defeat the Supercats' zone, the Miners may just be the first team to defeat the Supercats this season.

Kilsyth vs NW Tasmania
After a low-scoring double overtime loss last week to Albury/Wodonga, Kilsyth will need another solid defensive performance against the high-scoring NW Tasmania outfit this weekend. Cobras Jon Croft and Adam Jackson will likely get the task of containing Thunder sharp shooter Troy
de Vries, tasks both players are capable of completing.

Knox vs Bendigo
Struggling behind a five-game losing streak, the season is looking grim for the Raiders, and back-to-back Championship success is looking highly unlikely. Raiders assistant coach Graham Longstaff will have the task of ending their losing slump with coach Damian Cotter away with Australian Emus commitments. A bigger offensive game is required from Raiders import CJ Massingale, as he has averaged only 19ppg in his past four games and his scoring is a major
factor in the Raiders' success.

Canberra vs Nunawading
Nunawading have had great success in the nation's capital in recent years, and hold a three-game winning streak against the Gunners on their home court. Gunners main man Anthony Petrie (26.2ppg, 12.3rpg, 2.5apg) is playing injured at the moment but still producing quality numbers. His battle in the paint with experienced David Biwer (15.5ppg, 13.5rpg) will be a highly contested affair.

SEABL WOMEN - ROUND 13 PREVIEWS

Bendigo vs Launceston
The addition of Australian Opal Kristi Harrower last week lifted the Lady Braves into immediate Championship contention. Bendigo defeated Launceston 91-62 in Round 11, and the frontcourt depth of Richards, Walker, Fletcher and Gilmore was too much for the Tornadoes to
handle. The four players combined for 41pts and contained Tornaodes import Crista Hays to only eight points.

Albury/Wodonga vs NW Tasmania
New Lady Bandits coach Allen McCowan will be striving for “third time lucky” this week as he looks to put an end to his team's five-game losing streak. A bigger impact is needed from locally developed youngsters Butler and Miller for the Lady Bandits to improve this season. Too much is
expected from Bibby and Hurst and, although they are both extremely talented, some help from the bench would benefit the team and their overall season record.

Ballarat vs Bendigo
Both teams have been the quality teams of the competition all season, and in the previous two contests this year, the visitors have been the winning team. Ballarat won the most recent match 92-82 in Round 12, thanks largely to the efforts of MVP favourite Karen Ashby and the underrated Andrea Collins.

Southern Districts vs Launceston
Lady Spartans shocking run of losses ended last week with a victory over the Spectres. Coach Donna Rinaldi will be hoping for another successful contribution from her team
this week, as the Tornadoes play their first ever game in the state of QLD. The Tornadoes' Cassie Jordan (11.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 6.1apg) has been in scintillating form of late and her tussle with Lady Spartans veteran Rebecca Stephens will be a high-quality athletic battle.

Kilsyth vs Frankston
Kilsyth currently has a two-game buffer over fifth placed Nunawading for the fourth and last finals positiont. Kilsyth coach Jason Knight will be keen for a consistent performance from his team and hopefully score the victory over the lower-placed Frankston to keep a stranglehold on a finals berth.

Knox vs Ballarat
Ballarat will be faced with their second tough contest in less than 24hrs and their fitness will play a crucial role in the game's outcome. Ballarat have a 9-0 away record this season but it might be tested this week against the Knox Raiders. Lady Miners Karen Ashby has struggled when playing her former club Knox Raiders, and may find it tough again this week against the Raiders' Twin Opal Towers.

Kilsyth vs NW Tasmania
The loss to Launceston last week has caused concern in the Lady Thunder camp, but NW Tasmania have a better record on the road this season and will be confident of securing the win. Basketball fans will witness a fantastic tussle between two of the best Aussie guards, when Lady Cobras Desiree Glaubitz takes on NW Tasmania’s Kristen Veal.

Nunawading vs Frankston
Spectres coach Larissa Anderson will rejoin the team this week, desperate to guide her team to victory after a disappointing loss to Southern Districts last weekend. With another full week of training with the team, look for a bigger impact from Australian Opal Deanna Smith. Frankston
welcomed the return of all-time SEABL leading scorer Julie Ofsoski to the team from injury last week, and her inclusion is a big asset to the team. Coach Mark Ridgway will be expecting a big performance from his veteran star.
