It was yet another round where Strong just couldn't disappoint, taking out Player of the Week for the second time this year.

Game one of his weekend in Melbourne saw him with an easy 20 points and 11 rebounds against the Falcons, despite spending most of the third term on the bench. His quick five points in the last minute of the game including an impressive clean three-pointer, cemented what was already a great game for the consistent Strong.

Game two for the Seahawks was where Strong really earned his stripes, with an incredible double-double of 32 points and 28 rebounds, with 17 of them defensive. It seemed that Ringwood couldn't take a shot without a hot contest from Strong, who dominated the MVP votes for the game, and led his team to an easy victory over the Hawks.

This week capped off what has already been a fantastic season for the in-form Strong, and with the Seahawks winning back top of the ladder position from the Rangers, it seems that Strong's form will continue well into finals time.

Other contenders this weekend included:

- The Hawks' Joel Seach with an incredible 23 rebounds, 10 more than any other player on the court in their loss to Hume City.
- Timothy Gainey's 23 points in the Seahawks' win over the Falcons.
- Dandenong's Vince Inglima stepped up with 27 points in their win against Werribee, with another solid performance from Ash Cannon, with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
- Pierre Jallow was again the highest scorer of the game, with 23 points and 13 rebounds in their narrow win against the Hawks.

BIG V WOMEN'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK: TEGAN FOWLER

Sandringham's Tegan Fowler has secured herself another CW Player of the Week for the season, after again dominating the court, in what was her best game for the season so far.

Fowler had an amazing double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds in the girls' win against a disappointing Waverley, simply dominating the court, and the night. Fowler's 28 points was the second highest score of the year for CW, only losing out to Elyse Penaluna from Hume City, who scored 31 in their win against Coburg.

Fowler has again this season ruled for Sandringham, averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds a game, and with finals just around the corner, the girls are going to rely heavily on Fowler to keep up her average, to maintain fourth place on the ladder and ensure a spot in the finals.

Other contenders this weekend included:
- Marita Payne's 25 points and 17 rebounds in Eltham's come-from-behind win over Geelong.
- Elyse Penaluna's season-high 31 points in their demolition of Coburg.
