Hobart vs Kilsyth
Hobart have averaged 101 points this season, but without Anthony Stewart struggled to record 87 last week against a young and inexperienced AIS team. Veterans Nash and George stepped up and filled some of the void but a bigger impact is required from bench players Heather, Peterson
and Stearns if they are to defeat the Cobras this weekend.

Mt Gambier vs Geelong
The entire Supercats team will be pumped to record the victory against Mt Gambier this week, after losing their first game of 2007 last week in Brisbane. Geelong thrashed Mt Gambier 148-93 in Round 13 earlier this year and has a 10-8 record against the Pioneers. Jon Shepherd (16.6ppg, 4.7rpg) is in sensational form at present but will be tested against the Supercats talented Leonard/Cox guard rotation.

AIS vs Ballarat
The Australian Emus return home on Friday night, but the likes of Mills, Ogilvy and Dowdell are unlikely to play depending on injuries and tiredness. An understrength AIS team defeated Ballarat 109-104 in Round 10 this season, and the youngsters will be confident they can repeat the victory this weekend.

Geelong vs Frankston
This is a very important game for Frankston, as they sit in third position but within striking distance of a move into second. A bigger offensive game is required from NBL journeyman Marcus Timmons if the Blues are to improve on their disappointing 96-124 loss to Geelong in Round 5.

Southern Districts vs Albury/Wodonga
Spartans will welcome back Townsville Crocodile Greg Vanderjagt to the line-up this week after a four-week absence due to injury. However talented guard Adam Gibson will be unavailable due to Australian Boomers commitments in China. Underrated guard Peni Nasalo will be called upon to fill the shoes of Gibson and his battle in the back court with Bandit Nick Payne (23.7ppg, 6.7rpg, 2.9apg) is sure to be a highlight. If Bullets NBL coach Joey Wright is in town he should have a look at Payne as he is having a sensational year and worthy of an NBL trial.

Bendigo vs Nunawading
After a disappointing home loss to Canberra last week, Braves coach Wayne Larkins will be keen for a better performance from his team this week. Confidence will be high in the Spectres' camp, having defeated Bendigo 93-84 in Round 12. League veteran Dave Biwer destroyed the Braves in this game and earned Player of the Week honours. His production will need to be contained by the Braves if they are to secure the victory and remain top of the South men.

NW Tasmania vs Kilsyth
Kilsyth currently hold a three-game winning streak against NW Tasmania including a 123-105 victory in Round 14. Victory is vital for both teams as a loss to either team could see them tumble down the tight South men's ladder. Thunder sharp shooter Troy de Vries will again play a pivotal role for his team, and if the Cobras can limit him to less than 20pts, it will increase their team’s chance of securing the win.

Knox vs Nunawading
Raiders Coach Damian Cotter returns to the sidelines this week after two weeks in France with the Australian Emus. This is the first meeting between the two teams this year, and both will be keen for the victory and the psychological advantage leading into next week's game. Raiders import CJ Massingale (23.4ppg) is averaging 32pts in his past three games and will be keen for another solid offensive game.

Canberra vs Ballarat
Surprisingly Ballarat holds a 20-5 head-to-head advantage over Canberra, and have a successful 8-4 record against the Gunners in the nation's capital. Ballarat also recorded a surprising 102-85 victory in Round 13 and will be keen to record the clean sweep. Gunners coach Frank Arsego will
be hoping otherwise and victories are vital in the late part of the season, especially when they are fighting with Frankston and Southern Districts for second placing in the East Men.

Frankston vs Bendigo
The Braves have recorded five consecutive victories against Frankston, including a 111-81 win in Round 12. Both teams need to record the win as both are under extreme pressure on their respective conference ladders. David Gruber will be an important factor in this game for Frankston, and his contribution will likely decide the game's outcome.

SEABL WOMEN

Bendigo vs NW Tasmania
Bendigo are currently fighting with Knox for second place on the ladder, and two victories this weekend will be crucial for the Lady Braves. Walker, Fletcher and Richards continue to torment opposition teams with their exceptional skills in the frontcourt, but will be tested this week against
the Lady Thunder duo of Carr and Finnigan.

Southern Districts vs Albury/Wodonga
Jess Bibby was in sensational form last week, with a SEABL career best 46pts. A solid defensive effort from the Spartans will be required to contain her at the offensive end. However, Southern Districts will also need to pay attention to back court partner Nat Hurst, as she is fully capable of winning a game on her own if left open.

Ballarat vs Launceston
After consecutive losses, Lady Miners coach Kym Cassells will be desperate to guide her team back into the winners' circle. With seven games remaining, now is not the time for the Lady Miners to have a form slump. After a loss to NW Tasmania last weekend, the Tornadoes finals chances are slowly slipping away and two losses this weekend will put an end to any last hope they have.

Knox vs Nunawading
Knox will be without the “Opals Twin Towers” due to an Opals tour of China. Nunawading will also be without Deanna Smith as she will be on the same tour as Grima and Randall, therefore bench depth will play a crucial role in the game's outcome this week. Nunawading need a victory to stay in contention for a finals berth as another loss will damage any hope.

Frankston vs Bendigo
Frankston are unable to make the finals this year, but they can play a vital role in the final make up of the top four. Despite their disappointing 3-17 season record, Frankston are capable of recording an upset victory, and Lady Braves coach Bernie Harrower will be well aware of this. The offensive contribution of new WNBL Christchurch signee Kate McMeeken-Ruscoe will be a fundamental ingredient for the Lady Blues' success.

Kilsyth vs Launceston
Fresh after a bye last weekend, Kilsyth will be keen to continue their late-season surge and clinch their fourth consecutive victory. The win will also strengthen their grip on the fourth and final placing on the ladder. Desiree Glaubitz has been an excellent addition to the team, and her leadership and experience has been a success.

Nunawading vs NW Tasmania
A lot will be expected of underrated players Cristy Parker and Jodie Datson this weekend for the Nunawading Spectres. Lady Thunder have a talented team and have shown numerous times already this year they are capable of securing victories on the road against higher placed teams. This is a very dangerous game for the Spectres as a loss will make their finals chances extremely difficult, should Kilsyth clinch a victory against Launceston.
