Vividas and South Dragons fire up partnership
3/08/2006
Victoria's newest NBL franchise the South Dragons have partnered with one of the world's leading providers of full-screen video streaming technology, today announcing a season-long deal with Melbourne based software company Vividas.
Vividas are the major partner behind the South Dragons interactive CD ROM, a league-first digital membership brochure that contains over thirty minutes of video hi-lights and membership information.
At the recent Boomers versus New Zealand match at Vodafone Arena, the South Dragons distributed over 7,000 South Dragons CD ROMs to the near capacity crowd. The Dragons will also distribute over 15,000 discs as part of a wider membership campaign, canvassing local Victorian basketball associations and schools.
"As a club we've invested significantly in our web technology, and our partnership with Vividas has enabled us to take our online offer to another level," said chairman Mark Cowan.
"The ‘Evolve’ CD ROMS are key to our inaugural membership drive and they are a terrific way to package our brand to basketball fans.
"The feedback (on the CD ROMS) has been great to this point, and we're looking forward to working together with Vividas to realise the potential of their technology."
About Vividas: Vividas Group plc is a developer and provider of video technologies that enable full screen, high quality video via the internet, networks or on CD without requiring previously installed software. Vividas proprietary technology overcomes the disadvantages of competing solutions that typically offer only partial screen, or poor quality full screen, viewing and generally require the user either to have or to install specialist player software. Vividas floated on AIM in March 2005. For more information, visit www.vividas.com.
