Raptors stick by new NBA ball

Shaquille O'Neal doesn't like the new NBA ball and that makes Chris Bosh laugh.
"Hey, good," Bosh said yesterday at the Raptors' training camp.
The NBA introduced a new ball this season for the first time in 35 seasons and just the second time in 60 seasons and it's drawing mixed reviews. Shaq and Canadian point guard Steve Nash don't like it. Most of the Raptors players don't mind it.
The ball, made of a microfibre composite rather than the traditional leather, is meant to offer a better grip, feel and consistency, according to the league.
"It's cool, it's kind of similar to the FIBA ball," said Bosh, who played with that ball at the world championships this past summer.
"It doesn't bounce as high, so a bounce pass on the fast break could be a bit different. It bounces off the rim a little bit more, it's a little bit more sticky, so guys are going to be able to make better plays around the basket, because they'll be able to grab it a little bit more."
